【UN】 Ban Ki-moon concerned about the Uganda gay law

UN spokesperson Martin Nesirky read statements by both Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and human rights chief Navi Pillay spoke against the anti-homosexuality law signed into force in Uganda, saying it violates basic human rights and endangers lesbians, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people in the country.

On Feb. 24th, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni signed into law the controversial bill that will see homosexuals jailed for life, despite international pressure, against the bill.
